Parents & Guardians

A great concern to all parents and guardians is, what career and job opportunities are available for our young people when they leave education?

We can help support you as your child progresses through education by providing information on:-

Foundation Apprenticeship  –  studied alongside other school subjects and are a two year course for S5-S6 pupils.  The pupils spend two afternoons a week studying at college and also have the opportunity to benefit from some work experience in a relevant business.

Modern Apprenticeship  –  enable the young person to learn and earn. It provides paid employment and on the job training for anyone over 16 and has left education.  The young person gains both skills and a industry related qualification.

Graduate Apprenticeship  –  helping employers develop the skills of their workforce by providing work-based learning up to Master’s degree level for employees.
