Parents & Guardians

A great concern to all parents and guardians can be – what career and job opportunities are available for our young people when they leave education?

We can help support you as your child progresses through education by providing information on:-

  • Work experience opportunities available whilst in education
  • Career opportunities both locally and outwith the North Highland Region
  • The benefits of work-based learning through Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeships

Studied alongside other school subjects, this is a two year course for S5-S6 pupils.  Pupils spend two afternoons a week or one day per week studying at college and also have the opportunity to benefit from some work experience in a relevant business.

Enables the young person to learn and earn. It provides paid employment and on the job training for anyone over 16 who has left education.  The young person gains both skills and a industry related qualification.

Helping employers develop the skills of their workforce by providing work-based learning up to Master’s degree level for employees.
